Challenge 68--Computer, the careful version

And here is the slow and careful version of our computer. The computer area usually never looks this neat. I wonder who cleaned it up? It wasn't me!! Posted by Picasa

Challenge 68--Computer

This is the messy quick version of my computer. It's more fun to draw fast and messy than slow and painstakingly.  Posted by Picasa

challenge 67 colored

The flowers were dying, so I didn't make any copies of the line drawing. I just added some watercolor, which of course made the paper buckle a bit since it is in my sketchbook. But it was fun to capture the color. Next time I'll have to do a true watercolor on watercolor paper. I actually captured the color of the vase, but it is a hideous color and while it was still dry I blotted it up. Looks much better blotted. Posted by Picasa

The boy is home!!

We met Matthew at the airport with a sign and balloons. He is glad to be home for a bit and we are glad to have him. Posted by Picasa

challenge 67

Dave gave me these flowers for Mother's Day. I want to paint them but haven't had time. I'll let it count for the challenge to draw something for Mother's Day, but I also want to sketch the kids, especially Matthew since he is home from his deployment. Posted by Picasa

challenge 66--draw a fire hydrant

It finally stopped raining and I had some time to draw this hydrant. I dragged a soccer chair over and sat in the street a little, but our street is pretty quiet and traffic was not a concern. Jack came out while I was drawing and said that neighbors a long time ago painted the hydrant some wild colors, but the city didn't like it and repainted it. This hydrant is a dull orange on top and yellow on the bottom. I should paint it. Posted by Picasa

Challenge 65

Noses are strange appendages when isolated. Not everyone in my family wanted his/her nose drawn and posted on my blog.

I'm having fun working through old challenges, and I'm seeing myself drawing more non-challenge things, which is the whole point. Yay. Posted by Picasa

Challenge 44

I have drawn Trouble, our cat, so many times. She naps in the funniest positions.

Challenge 4

I drink several cups of tea every day. This is from my evening/pre-bedtime cup. The ellipses are hard to draw. I'm thinking of doing that oval project someone else did, of drawing something oval or round every day for a month.

Challenge 9

The kids' bathroom needs cleaning, but I thought this was such a good bit of organized chaos, so I drew it first. I ran out of room and the only hints of Jenny's stuff is in the mirror. Now, why do 3 teens need 4 tubes of toothpaste?

challenge 64

This was a difficult challenge. I finally decided to draw it from an angle instead of straight on. What I really ought to have done is drawn all the stuff on the counter. My family seems to have forgotten how to load the dishwasher again.
